This 26mm (1″) Beveled Edge Chisel from pfeil is crafted using the same technology and attention to detail that have made pfeil carving tools famous all over the world. Pfeil uses only the finest Swiss alloy tool steel. The blade is heat treated individually, using the latest technology, and is expertly ground on all sides with a 25 degree main bevel on the cutting edge. The Elm handle was chosen for beauty and features an octagonal and slightly ovoid shape for improved control and comfort. The side bevel is swept back towards the centerline as opposed to being parallel. This design permits the blade being used in some pretty tight places, such as cleaning up dovetails.
