Returns and Refund Policy

RETURNS

All tools/power tools/accessories/parts must be in new condition showing no signs of use (dirty, changed plugs, scratches, marks, scuffs, chipped paint etc.) to receive a refund and must be returned in original packaging accompanied by the invoice within 14 days of purchase date. Please return the Goods with a note stating if you would like a credit, exchange or refund. We review case by case if the product can be approved for return.

Customers goods may be returned at our cost if:

  1. When there’s a manufacturers fault and damaged in-transit.
  2. If product supplied is not the same product as what was ordered.

Customer’s will return items at their expense, that is shipping back or delivering to Chavda offices if:

  1. Customer ordered the wrong items.
  2. Ordered and supplied item(s) does not meet the customers’ expectations or deliver the desired outcome.

You cannot return if:

  1. Item has been used or tempered with.

If the customer orders the wrong item(s), it will be returned at the cost of the customer.

HANDLING FEES

A handling fee will be charged as per the supplier’s discretion for all goods if:

  1. Customer ordered the wrong items.
  2. Ordered and supplied item(s) does not meet the customers’ expectations or does not deliver the desired outcome.

No handling fees will be charged if:

  1. Correct goods were ordered but Incorrect goods were supplied /delivered to the customer.

EXCHANGES

You can only exchange an if item is in original packaging accompanied by the invoice. We don’t take exchanges on sale items. If the Goods are defective in any way this must be reported as soon as reasonably possible after the product having been delivered to you and must be returned to us within a period of 14 days after delivery. If the Goods are not the same as what was ordered this must be reported within 24 hours of delivery. Any damage must also be immediately reported, within 24 hours of delivery.

REFUNDS

For returned item, refunds will on be processed once the item(s) have been delivered or shipped and received at Chavda International office from the customer. 

Depending on the payment processor (Peach payments, Payfast or Payflex) and payment method (credit card, debit, etc. ), funds take 7-10 working days to reflect back in your account after refund has been processed. 

For all manual EFT payments, banking details will be required to process your refund. In some cases, you banking details may be required for select payment methods and partial refunds. Refunds will be in the form of an EFT or Chavda Voucher. No cash refund option available

GENERAL

The Company will deliver the Goods to you as soon as reasonably possible, but no later than 30 days of receipt of your payment (ā€œDelivery Periodā€). We will notify you if we are unable to deliver the Goods during the Delivery Period. You may then, within 5 days of receiving such notification elect whether or not to proceed with your order for the Goods. If you elect not to proceed with your order, we will reimburse you with the purchase price within 30 days of having informed you that we are not able to deliver the Goods during the Delivery Period.

If the Goods have been approved for return, we will notify you and either arrange for our couriers to collect the item from you or request that you post it back to us or ask you to return the item to our current warehouse location, dependent on your original orderā€™s shipping method. Should you need to post the Goods to us please only send it to our postal address (available under Contact and Address Details) and you will be credited or refunded for the postage costs incurred, up to a maximum of the whatever the current Company Postal Delivery rate is ā€“ see ā€œPO Box Delivery to Main Centresā€ and ā€œPO Box Delivery to Regional Centresā€.

If you are returning Goods via courier or post office please package it carefully so that it does not become damaged en-route. Please include the Returns Request Number and a copy of your original invoice with any return.

If any party (ā€œDefaulting Partyā€) breaches any of these terms and conditions and fails to remedy such breach within 14 (fourteen) days of receipt of notice to remedy the breach, the aggrieved party shall be entitled to claim specific performance or to cancel this agreement forthwith upon written notice to the defaulting party, without prejudice to its right to recover:
any amounts that may be due to it in terms of this agreement; and any loss or damage suffered as a consequence of the breach or the cancellation of this agreement.

GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION

Our relationship and/or any dispute arising from or in connection with these terms and conditions of sale shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. You agree to be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.

FREE DELIVERY

Free delivery does not apply to large voluminous catering items or goods.

Free delivery only applies to orders delivered in South Africa only.
